425 Magazine recently turned its lens toward the woman redefining luxury jewelry in the Pacific Northwest — Neha Krishna, founder of Atelier Maharanibagh. The feature, titled From India, with Love, captures not only Neha’s creative journey but also the spirit of her brand.
THE STORY IN 425 MAGAZINE — EXACTLY AS TOLD
Neha Krishna understands the art of the hustle. After nearly two decades navigating the corporate tech world — with stints at Microsoft, Meta, and Google — the Bellevue resident decided to embrace her creative side publicly. She won the 2018 Washington State Miss Asia pageant and, in 2024, launched Atelier Maharanibagh, an affordable, gold-centric luxury jewelry line.
Named after an upscale Delhi neighborhood, Krishna’s label features a selection of earrings, necklaces, and accessories primarily sourced from craftswomen in India and Italy.
Her keen eye for the exquisite extends to her wardrobe, which bursts with bold colors and avant-garde details like feathers and sequins. Fun fact: Her favorite color is pink.
“Even in the office, my colleagues always knew when I entered the room,” she recalls, describing how her style naturally turned heads.
Born in Jaipur, India, Krishna’s early fashion influences came from her mother and a life of travel — her father was a diplomat — but conservative family values initially kept her from experimenting. “When I moved to the United States, I started to embrace my artistic side,” she explained. “It became my way of finding personal expression.”
The business owner continues to travel frequently, not only to source new pieces for her line but also to shop. She frequents legacy department stores such as Harrods and Selfridges but shops locally for basics and separates to pair with her bling-forward wardrobe.
She has become a fixture on the Eastside’s retail scene, frequently hosting jewelry pop-ups at private homes, and offering style consultations at her appointment-only atelier.
“I believe that luxury is not about price, but how you wear it,” she says.
